Life Cycle Events / Services

I have provided pastoral care in-person and remotely, and performed life cycle events for people and their families as an experienced hospital chaplain and local rabbi.  As a Jewish chaplain, I have extensive experience serving people in numerous settings, having completed five units of clinical pastoral education (CPE), including one unit as a hospice chaplain at Metropolitan Jewish Health System (MJHS) in Manhattan, and four prior CPE units as a hospital chaplain resident at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) in New Brunswick, NJ, a trauma one center, for a total of approximately 1,500 clinical pastoral care hours.  I am currently a member of the National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC). I believe it is crucial to take the time to meet with, actively listen to, and get to know the individuals and families that I serve, which has helped me to create more personal, heartfelt, and meaningful services. As a local rabbi I have officiated at brit milah / circumcision / baby naming ceremonies, bar/bat mitzvah services for children and adults, auf ruf/pre-wedding ceremonies, weddings, funerals, and unveilings. I have also led shiva minyanim prayer services for mourners in their homes, where I have shared comforting words of Torah teachings to stimulate the mind and the heart, including unique attributes and stories/vignettes about loved ones as part of the service.
